No. Softwash is a method of cleaning using Sodium Hypochlorite (Bleach). The only chemical we use is Biocide, which is safer than Bleach. Biocide does not produce harmful fumes like Bleach, it is also a lower toxicity.

Does Biocide Treatment Remove Lichin? +

Yes. Biocide will kill Lichen and all other organisms that it comes into contact with. Lichen is gradually removed from all porous roofing materials through the natural weathering process. There are over 20,000 species of Litchin, some of which can take 2 applications of Biocide (3 years apart) to completely remove.

How long does the roof treatment last? +

3-5 years. Biocide roof treatment continues to inhibit the growth of moss for 3 - 5 years following application.

"We have lived in our house for 30 years and replaced the roof when we bought it; parts of the house are over 200 years old.
